No gambling gam-bling or bookmnklng will bo tolerated nt the Charter Oak park next week during the state fair and grand circuit race meeting, according to the emphatic statement state-ment mado by both Chlof of Police Gunn and Secretary W. II. Gocher of tho fair association, today. In addition to having a large force of mounted and foot police and detectives on tho grounds, Chlof Gunn has also requested re-quested tho New York police department to send men to look out for bookmakers. |
