Show IBTIt STANDARD IS VEBY FINE MATEB1AL Shaft Breaking Through Great Iron Body That Looks Like Ore. General Manager F. J. Raddatz of tho Tintic Standard Mining company returned to this city .yesterday from the property at Tintic, .armed with numerous numer-ous sacks of samples ta-ken from the formation through which tho shaft is uow being driven. Owinc to the absence ab-sence of Mr. Jiaddatz in Montana when the shaft broke into tho present formation, forma-tion, some thirty feet above tho present bottom of the working, the new conditions condi-tions havo not been tested by assays, but Mr. Raddatz on his arrival 3'ester-day 3'ester-day immediately placed several samples in "tho assayer's hands, results being due this morning. These samples oomo from what Mr. Itaddatz is certain is a body of low-grade low-grade ore. and those who have sceu thorn agree that if such rock is not oro.it is so dangerously close to it that tho real stuff may be expected at any round of shots. The rock is a yellow oxide of iron, mainly, through "which occur generous quantities of hematite and manganese. It is 1)3' far the finest looking rock so far encountered in the Tintic Standard propert3". and Mr. Bad-da Bad-da tz is delighted, nnturaUv, with this significant change in conditions. This heavily mineralized rock occurs in the regular dolomite lime in which Tintic oro bodies make, and "is part and parcol of the great mineralized zone crossing the Tintic Standard territory which, in places, is from 400 to 500 feet iD width. Mr. Kaddatz all along has had the utmost faith in this property, and stated yesterday that he would stake all he possessed to the effect that his associates and hinisclf have in this territory tho makinq of ono of the biggest big-gest mines in the Tintic camp.
