Show PHO-IIOBMOHS SEEI 10 RETAIN Mil Factional Fight in the Idaho Democracy Is One of Exceeding Ex-ceeding Bitterness. Sporlnl to Tho Tribune. BOISE, Ida.. Sept. 3. Pursuant to a call signed by an alleged majority of tho pro-Mormon members of tho Democratic Demo-cratic committee of this county, a meeting meet-ing of a portion of the members of said committee was held here today and Dr. J. M. Woodburn, who was chosen chairman of the committee two years ago, is alleged to have been deposed by action of this meeting, and Fred Flood, editor of tho Boiso Citizen, chosen to fill tho assumed vacancy. Tho reason given was that Chairman Woodburn refused re-fused to'call a meeting of the commit-too commit-too to mako arrangements for Democratic Demo-cratic primaries in this county, ho having hav-ing been importuned to do so by tho spokesman of tho -hierarchy, while Mr. Woodburn says ho has not. takon action iu the matter because ho believes it tho best polic3' not to hold primaries till after tho supremo court has rondcrcd an opinion in tho Democratic contest case, which will soon bo up to it for consideration. The rumpitcs havo decided to hold county primaries September 20 and a county convention is to be held September Septem-ber 30. Dr. Woodburn refuses to turn over tho office to Mr. Flood. And tho factional fight goes on, in which the pro-Mormons aro insolently aggressive. |
