Wigner, chemist, in tho Cooper rooming house, First West and iouth Temple streets, Tuesday morning and carried away among other things a betrothal ring returned re-turned to the chemist by his lady love after the breaking of the engagement. The ring was bought by Wigner and presented to his intended wife, but for some reason Hie engagement was broken and his fiancee returned it to him. It. was a gold ring with an emerald setting. set-ting. Other articles stolen from his room j wero a ring with an imitation diamond, J a ' white-handie.l razor and a 2o-ccnt piece made in ISuPi. A.1I of the articles were taken front a grip in which they were stored. The grip was kicked under the bed for concealment con-cealment after the commission of the theft. When Wigner left Ins room in the morning he locked tho door anil placed the key on the top of it. When he returned re-turned and discovered the I heft the key was still there and the door bore no evidences of having been Tampered with, so it is thought, that the burglars used skeleton keys to get. in.
