Show MAY RESTRICT SCOPE OF TIIE SECRET SERVICE . WASHINGTON, April 21. Tho l7ousej committee on appropriations has inserted in the sundry civil bill, which will likely be reported to the House on Thursday of this week, a clause prohibiting pro-hibiting the use of any money appropriated appropri-ated by the bill for the secret service in caviying out any secret service work other than the guarding of the President Presi-dent and the detection and prevention of counterfeiting.
