Show COURT STENOGRAPHERS FORM ORGANIZATION It Will Be Known as the Utah Shorthand Reporters Association. As-sociation. Eight of the ten official court reporters of the State, together with numerous expert ex-pert shorthand writers, met In Judge Morse's courtroom Wednesday night and organized the Utah Shorthand Reporters association. The purpose of tho organization Is to advance the Interests of the expert shorthand short-hand reporters of the State and promote good fellowship among the shorthand writers who have attained a position in the craft which distinguishes them from the stenographer or amanuensis. It is the intention of the founders of tho association as-sociation to secure the membership of all expert reporters in Utah If that Is posslblo. J. R. Davis, reporter for Judge Morse, was elected president; W. L. Cook, reporter re-porter for Judge Greenwood of the Fifth Judicial district, will servo as vlcc-preel-dent, and William Folland. reporter for Judge Armstrong, assumes the duties of secretary. The first annual meeting of the association will be held July 20 in the City and County building. It will begin at 10 a. m. and after adjournment a special programme will bo rendered at Snltalr. |
