An estimated gain of 10 por cent in the total wheat yield of Canada Was tho chief cause of the weakness in the wheat markot hero today. At the close tho September Septem-ber delivery was -jc down. Corn was down c. Oats showed a loss of Vj:)bC. provisions were unchanged to 22Vjc higher. The wneat market was inclined to be weak all day, but iu the early part of the session prices were held fairly steady by the firmness of Liverpool cables. ca-bles. Advices regarding the Canadian crops were especially optimistic, one report re-port claiming that the total yield of wheat, for the Dominion would show a gain of 10 per cent over that of last year. Late in the day, however, a large part of tho loss was regained on covering cover-ing hy shorts. Damage reports from tho Southwest, where wheat was reported report-ed to bo sprouting in shocks, wore instrumental in-strumental in creating it steadier undertone. under-tone.
