Show SQUAWS ON RAMPAGE Bannocks Boat White Women .After Quarrel Over Range Privileges. Special to The Tribune. POCATELLO, Ida., Aug. 24. Warrants War-rants were issued today for the arrest of two Bannock Indian squaws who are charged with assault with a deadly weapon upon two white women, Frances Croshaw and Matilda Taylor, at Bell Marsh, seven miles from McCammon, Ida on August 20. While riding" across country the two women were assaulted by the squnws with a revolver. Their horso was beaten beat-en until ho fell, throwing them to the ground and breaking an arm of one of the women. Tho attack was the outgrowth of an old feud over rango privileges. A similar assault occurred a year ago, resulting in tho two squaws serving a short term in jail. Sheriff Harvey has gono to arrest the squaws. |
