Show Provo Odd Fellows. Special to Tho Trlbuno. PROVO, July 15. The Odd Follows' lodge held a public meeting In tho hall for the purpose of a Joint Installation of officers. Mrs. B. N. C. Stott of Eureka, president of tho Rebeccas' assembly, pro-Bided pro-Bided in behalf of that organization; J. J. Mllner of Provo was the presiding officer of-ficer or the encampment and John Bott of Provo acted In a like capacity for the Provo lodge No. 14. The following officers wero Installed: Rebeccas Mrs. J. R. Farrer, N. G.; Mrs. Christina Fisher. V. G. ; Mrs. Dr. Slater, troasrer; Mr. B. H. Bower, secretary. secre-tary. Provo Lodge No. H. The public library commltteo met to consider the advisability nnd practlca-blllty practlca-blllty of securing an additional five-foot frontage for the Carnegie library that Is now In course of construction. Jesse Knight and Senator Smoot wore called into tho meotlog and tho question of securing se-curing tho udditlonal ground was presented pre-sented to thorn. Mr. ICnlght offored to pay for the ground- noedod and Smoot, seeing the marked philanthropy of "Uncle "Un-cle Jesse." agreed to help pay the bill. It will amount to $250. |
