Show CONFESSES FORGERY ' Levy Rose in Jail on Charge of Uttering Utter-ing Forged Checks. Levy Rose, a young man of 17, is in tho city jail charged with tho crime of forgery. He has made a full confession con-fession to Detectives Shannon and Wilson, Wil-son, who made tho arrest. The young fellow was employed as a millmnn at tho Commercial Milling and Building company's yards on Second Sec-ond West street. According to his own confession he stole six blank checks from tho check book of the manager of the concern, S. J. Newman, and forged his name to them. They were cashed at various places about town. Of the six checks two were for $8, one for $10 and three for $30. It was for forging and cashing one of the $S checks on Bner Bros., the liquor dealers, that ho was arrested, though thero will be probably prob-ably five other counts against him when the case is called in court. |
