Show AN INTERESTING SUBJECT J. E. Thompson Will Address Y. M. C. A. Meeting This Evening. J. K. Thompson, of New York Citv, who spoke so acceptably at tho Fireside Fire-side Gathering at Y. M. C. A. last Sunday, has been secured lo speak at the same place this evening on "Yachting "Yacht-ing on the Caribbean and up tho Amazon." The lecture, which is to begin at 8:00 p. m., will be complimentary compli-mentary to the public, both Indies and gentlemen will bo admitted free. fr. Ho visited the scene of Dreyfus' exile on Devil's Island, and viewed the ruins of St. Picrc on Martinique Island. His tour up tho Amazon was quite extensive. He spent some time on tho Isthmus of Panama, setting up the association work among government govern-ment employees of tho Canal 7.0110 at the direct request of tho United States. Jn tho lecture tonight, he will sketch the Interesting scenes and conditions obtaining in this romantic -part of the World. His liberal education and wide experience make him a well-qualified and entertaining speaker for a travel lecture. I I |
