For the purpose of this tour they have appropriated appro-priated the title of the Pilgrims, and all expenses have been Guaranteed by an American gentleman who takes a deep interest in the game. They sail on the steamer Manitoba, from Liverpool, on August 2S, nnd will be absent about six weeks. The following cities In the United States and Canada will be visited vis-ited In the course of the tour: Montreal, Mont-real, Toronto, Hamilton, Detroit, St. Louis, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston and New York. The list of the players going out will include. L. II. Skene (Queen's Park, Glasgow). Herbert Smith (Reading), and F. H. MUnes, captain cap-tain (Sheffield United) (backs). WalmCSley (Blackburn Robers), Barnsdale (Notts Forest) and Coopland (Sheffield club) (halfbacks). R. G. Hounsfleld (Derby county), P. Fletcher (Derby County), V. J. TVoodwafd (Tottenham (Tot-tenham Hotspur), Storey (Corinthians), (Corin-thians), Raynes (Sheffield United), Unit-ed), and Bryning (Northern N0- mads) (forwards). |
