Work is going ahead on. tunnel No. 2 of tho Iowa property, ontcrihg tho same contact con-tact formation and on the same belt ns tho Tornado. The Iowa Gold Hill groups arc being worked through tunnel No. -2, - whereby tho same veins aro being cross cut. In about fifty feet they will havo entered tho porphyry formation through the crystallized lime, and tho same results, re-sults, as shown on tho surface, will bo identical to that of the Tornado. Tho work Is being dono by Gld rt. Proppcr for tho Iowa and Gold Hill company, In. which ho Is largely interested. Tho recent reported strike In the Aspon gr.oup of mines, In tho south bolt In the southern slope of Gold Hill, Is tunneling out far better than expected. Robert James Thomson and John Shafcr of Moab recently visited tho property and havo several good-sized pieces of gold as evidence evi-dence of the valuo of tho property, secured se-cured from the screenings of tho gold pan. Considerable of the ore Is being displayed dis-played In offlco windows at Moab to waken up tho spirit of lethargy In the old tpwn. Considerable interest Is being shown In tho starting up of the Gold Basin cyanide mill. Tho llnlshlng touches arc how being put on, and the Interstate company will bo ready, to blow In at the announced time October 1. Some difficulties arc being be-ing experienced In setting In tho ropo for tho tramway, on account of tho lack of teams to freight It in from Cisco. Manager Man-ager J. H. Ore is being piled upon tho clump from two different Hources. at the same time methodically developlng tho ground for resorves. A number of Important deals are being considered nnd several companies organized organ-ized that may add considerable activity to tho Basin district before winter sets In.
