Schmidt declares that he Is virtually certain that the arrested young men aro Hi. persons who held hlni up. but they have proved by the clerk of the Salvation Army barracks that they were In bed 't the hour when the crime was committed The officers are still Investigating the. casir and shadowing other suspicious Individual In-dividual Webster had in his possession a,t the time of his arrest a pair Of shoes albged to have been stolen from tho Vienna cafe, where he had been employed for a day. so that he at least maj be held on a petty larceny charge |
