Show MUTUAL IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATIONS MEET The officers of the Mutual Improvement Improve-ment associations met separately yesterday yes-terday and discussed ways and means whereby their associations might bo benefited. The young ladles assembled In the Fourteenth ward assembly hall, while the young men convened at Bar-ratt Bar-ratt hall. At the young men's meeting meet-ing over fifty ot the fifty-six associations associa-tions of the Mormon church were represented. rep-resented. The first speaker was Prof Evan Stephens, who gave some advice to the choristers and urged them to have a definite aim underlying all their work. Preston D. Richards of Granite Stake presented the subject: "Five .Essentials for a Successful Superintendent." Superin-tendent." He was followed by Oliver N. Christiansen, who treated the subject: sub-ject: "Five Essentials for a Successful President." In the general discussion which followed remarks were made by Elders Benjamin Goddard, Edward H Anderson and others.
