Show BARBERS AT WORK FOR HIGHER PRICES There is a movement on foot among tho barbers of Salt Lako City lo raise tho schedule of prices In some of the shops that are now charging lower figures than tho more expensive establishments, a mooting wan held last night, but owing to tho power going off It was Interrupted and many of thoso present wont away. It Is claimed that whllu some barbers are making good wages, there are manv that only get $S and J10 a week. The schedulo In some shops Is 35 cents for a hair cut and IS cents for a shave, and It Is hoped by tho lenders. In the move that a uniform aebodulo will bo adopted on tliat basis. "While this lo .not solely a union movement, the local union will take It up as a union tariff. Lindsay N. Light-foot, Light-foot, president of the local union, presided at tho meeting, which was postponed until next Tuesday evening nt 8 o'clock. All barbers of the city have been earnestly earnest-ly requested to be present at this meeting. |
