Show Great Prospects for Crops. PORTLAND. Or.. May 25. A. L. Craig, gcnerul possonger agent, and a rarty of officials of the Oregon Railway & Navigation company returned here today after a two weeks' trip through the agricultural districts of Oregon and Washington. Mr. Craig reports that unless some blighting Infiuence Intervenes Inter-venes between now and harvest that Immense crops of wheat and fruits will be gathered in Oregon and Washington. Mr. Craig reports that the grain crop will be especially large and of unusual excellence In quality. The labor problem, prob-lem, according to M Craig, is a serious seri-ous one and may, in some districts, greatly hamper the work of caring for the gathering of crops. Mr. Crnlg's party traveled nearly 2000 miles during the past two weeks and are greatly Impressed Im-pressed with the remarkable growth and possibilities of the localities visited by them. |
