Granger president of the Georgia Federation of Womens Clubs at a conference held recently In New York by Northern and Southern representatives repre-sentatives of the General Federation of Womens Clubs regarding the much mooted color question said The color question has been a drawback to club work In the South from the first because be-cause women have refused to lake part until the matter Is finally settled l If the line Is not drawn strictly there will be a general disruption of tho federation federa-tion We find the Northern women who are living In the South and who have learned the true situation to be Just as eager as we are for this action In our opinion It will be as greatly to the advantage ad-vantage of the colored clubs as to the white ones The best colored women do not want to Join white clubs nor do they II want social Intercourse with while women wo-men Some of the colored clubs are I managed In a masterly fashion and are doing most excellent work and It will
