Show ADVENTURES OF A RED APPLE The first I can remember of my early life was that I was a tiny pink find white bud but as the sweet spring days advanced my petals opened and became a beautiful apple blossom Summer drew near and I by then became be-came an apple One September morning a farmer and three other men came into the orchard and began to take the apples from the trees What will become of us walled some of the apples Where shall we be taken to A man picked me off tho tree Oh Mr Brown see this beauty Yes said the old fanner It is a beauty but now work dont stop at every beauty I soon found myself being packed Into a barrel among many other apples ap-ples Where art going now asked a large but not beautiful apple Oh I heard that man over there say we were to be shipped answered a very homely apple The next thing I knew we were on our way to New York AVhcn I arrived ar-rived in New York It was new Indeed all was hustle and bustle after the quiet country life Oh is this New Yorkt asked several small apples AVc were soon moving again and someone said we were going to a store By and by the top of a barrel was taken off and we were again In the open airthat Is those who were near the lop among those I was I was put outside of the store next but oh such a different place from what I had expected On all sides of me were houses and stores and by and by something came buzzing along and I heard someone say It was a trolley caA llll1a girl came along just then and grabbed him up He could go no farther for the little girl began to eat him |
