Show COAST IS SNOWBOUND Three Feet of Snow Covers Mainland of British Columbia Vancouver B C Jan 10The entire mainland of British Columbia is snowbound snow-bound Such a condition Is not unusual un-usual In the Rocky mountains during the winter but Is quite exceptional along the coast where there Is rarely more than an inch or two of snow two or three days throughout the entire winter Snow began fallllng ten days ago and has continued Intermittently ever since The snow is now about 3 feet deep on the level on the streets Snowploughs I Snow-ploughs and gangs of men with shovels shov-els have been constantly employed en deavoring to keep clear the tracks of the electric trams but even with these efforts it has been Impossible to grve the usual service Despite the unfavorable conditions the trains of the Canadian Pacific company com-pany have continued to run on schedule sched-ule time Today the storm began again with renewed vigor and snow fell the greater part of the day A storm broke this morning from the east |
