Show 7 i c t k FUNERAL OF RWALKER J SERVICES HELD YESTERDAY AT THE RESIDENCE i TH REIENC I t I Many Floral Tributes From Friends and Employees Services Conducted by Rov Mr Stringf ellow The funeral services of the late Joseph Jo-seph Robinson Walker were held yesterday yes-terday at 2 p r at the family residence resi-dence on Main and Fourth South streets The Rev Mr StrlngfclloSF or St Pauls officiated and tho service was listened to by a very large number of tho friends of the deceased and hIs family Beautiful music was rendered by C quartette composed of Mrs E J Jolly Miss Susie Stewart T H Gilbert and Karl Scheld whose voices were perfectly blended in several i hymns Mrs Jolly sang the solo I Beautiful City The remains were I placed In n chaste black casket with t oxidized silver ornaments and full extension I ex-tension handles The floral tributes were many and beautiful one large 1 piece being from the employees of the I storo and another Crom the employees oC the bank while many friends tant tributes From the house the casket was moved tfn a funeral carriage and to the grave In the funeral car Trinity Trin-ity under the direction of S D Evans The pallbearers were Messrs Charles Read H W Lawrence C C Goodwin T W Buzzo George A Lowe W L Plckard John Strlckley George M Scott W S Godbe and R AlIT The services were simple and most I affecting The Interment was at f Olivets a large cortege following the remains and surrounding the casket I as the body was reverently laid to rest to await tho coming of the final call when the father mother and loved ones may again be united Burial of Stephen R Crompton I An old timer went to his final earthly resting place yesterday when the rc I nialna oC Stephen R Crompton were I laid away In the City cemetery The funeral services wcre held in the Eleventh ward meetinghouse Bishop Robert Morris presided The speakers were Elders C V Spencer R F Nes len AY Splccr Joseph H Felt Charles Livingston and Bishop Morris The pallbearers all of whom were old friends of the deceased wero R F Neslcn Edwin Dowdcn William M Brown George F Brooks John Mil I Ml ler and William Simons At the grave tho dedication ceremonies dedicaton were con ducted by Elder Charles Livingston |
