Show Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Morris and family spent the week end in Logan. Mr. Bill Mitchell and Mr. Huey Huebner loft Thursday for Reno, where they will attend the Uuivemity of Nevada. Dr. and Mrs. H. Her sketches, even though drawn quickly and all free hand, were very realistic, indeed. Miss Clark gave an Interesting description of Mexico city where she visit-ed and went to school this sum-mer. Miss Jensen entertained with a clever reading which the chil-dren certainly appreciated; and Miss Glover and Miss Vlckers favored us with a duet. Mr. Bell then came along with the wet blanket and told the children what we expected them to do, what we promised them as a re-ward for doing those things, and what a good time we expected to have this year. We have adopted the slogan "No serious Accidents" this year, and every student has agreed to help all that is possible. Last year we had two children have their arms broken but we don't expect to have a repltitlon of that this year. We have as enrollment of 371 at the present time. They are distributed as follows: First Grade, 77; Second Grade, 67; Third Grade, 69; Fourth Grade, 72; Fifth Grade, 54; and Sixth Grade, 42. We are expecting quite a num-ber more for it seems that a great many children are out either with Whooping Cough or inoculations for preventing It. Soon after the middle of Sep-tember we expect to have vac-cinations for Smallpox again. We hope to have our entire school immunized from contagious dis-eases in a comparatively short time. With the aid of the par-ents this can gradually be done. It will mean much for attend-ance at school but much more indeed for the children. There are eleven teachers besides Mr. Bell, four of these being new. Mlsg Mary Robertson has re-turned to Long Beach. Califor-nia, after spending the sum-mer with her father J. v. Ro-bertson and her sister, Mrs. Wil-liam Trevarthen. Richard and Elwood Sorenson and Buster Fuller were burned on the hands and face while playisg with a can of carbide. Mr. Rex Beckstead of Delta is visiting Arthur Fahmi. Mr. and Mrs. Bud McGregor of Nevadaand Mr. and Mrs. Art Thompson of Modena, Utah, have returned to make their home in Lark. A party was given for Mrs. Roy Wilcox Monday eve. The prize was won by Mrs. Elmer Gressman. Mr. and Mrs. Max DuBois and Mr. and Mrs. James Reed have moved into their new homes.
