Show V NOTICE TO WATER USERS THE STATE OF UTAH Office of State Engineer Salt Lake City Notice is hereby given that Kennecott Copper Corporation, transferee of Utah Copper Company, Com-pany, 6alt Lake City, Utah has made Application in accordance with the laws of Utah to change the point of diversion, place and nature of use, of 3 sec. ft. of water from Markham Creek in Salt Lake County, Utah. Said water has heretofore been diverted divert-ed by virtue of Application No. 9960 at a point N. 89 Deg. 05 Mln. E, 1007 ft from the SW Cor. of Sec. 23, T. 3 S., R. 3 W., SLB&M, and used from January 1 to December 31 Inclusive of each year, for leaching and precipitation pre-cipitation of ores. After having been so used the water has been returned to the natural channel at a point N. 83 Deg. 34 Min. W. 3382 feet from the SE Cor. of said Sec. 23. It is now proposed pro-posed to divert said water at a point S 87 Deg. 65 Min. E 860 feet from the SW Cor. of said Sec. 23, and used from January 1 to December 31 Inclusive of each year, primarily for the precipitation pre-cipitation of copper held In solution, solu-tion, but also for the extraction from such solutions of such other content as possesses a commercial value. After having been so used, it is proposed to convey the water wa-ter away from Bingham Canyon and dispose of it by evaporation, as being unfit for any further beneficial use. This application Is designated in the office of the State Engineer Engi-neer as No. a-1358. All protests resisting the granting grant-ing of said Application, with reasons rea-sons therefor, made in affidavit form, must be filed with T. H. Humpherys, Stae Engineer, Capitol Capi-tol Building, Salt Lake City, with one extra copy and $1.00 filing fee within 30 days after the date of completion of publication. T. H.
