Show Bird's Eye View of Salt Lake. Mr. E. S. Glover, artist, has been engaged for a few weeks in sketching a bird's eye view of this city, and having completed the work, is calling upon our citizens for subscriptions subscrip-tions to lithographic copies o f tho work. A close examination examin-ation of the sketch shows it to be correct in almost every particular. The whole city is represented, the perspective being gained from the northeast corner of town. Camp Douglas lies to the left; the Wasatch range of mountains are clearly marked, mark-ed, showing the entrances to Parley's, Mill Creek, and Big and Little Cottonwood Cot-tonwood canons, with the settlements at each. Thero is a fine view of this beautiful valley to the south, which is Bpread out correctly before the eyo, and dotted here and there with its little towns and farmhouses. We congratulate Mr. Glover on his success suc-cess in producing bo artistic a representation, repre-sentation, and are' glad to notice that he is being encouraged by the public. The price of the picture, when lithographed, litho-graphed, will bo $5, and we are assured as-sured that it will be sold only by subscription. |
