Show Visiting; Salt Lnke. Wo had the favor of a call yesterday yester-day from Captain Reed, of Boston, accompanied by Mr. Thomas Williams, Wil-liams, treasurer of Z. C. M. I. In 1S5G, Mr. Williams being at that time chief clerk in the Latter Day Saints' office' in Liverpool, Captain Real was in command of the ship Uuriz'Jii, and brought a large company com-pany of the Saints, under the i presidency presi-dency of Mr. E. Martin, from Liverpool Liver-pool to Boston. Captain R. remcm-' hers the voyage with pleasure, and yesterday recalled incidents and names which showed how retentive was his memory in relation lo it.- He will remain a few days in town, during dur-ing which we wUh him a; pleasant visit, and the gratification of meeting some of those who remember his courteous and gentlemanly treatment of them while in the ship of which he was Captain during their voyage across the Atlantic. |
