Show - A Jovial Jury. A telegram from Rawlins, W. T., received yesterday, says that ''Judge Kingman had discharged dis-charged the petit jury and fined the jurors ten dollars each for iudulging in a friendly game of '.seven-tip' in the .Uiry room, while deciding ou a case." Now, that was savage in Kingman. It was too bad to make them pay for their little amuicment mixed in with the onerous duties of a jury room; though a frieDd at ourelbowsays "served them right." The juty that "sat on us" didn't play "soveii-up," il was more like a gam') of euchre with both bowers bow-ers under the table aud the ace and king laying around loose. Ah, juries are rave institutions! We object ever since to tit on a jury, uulc-s it's a very oft one. |
