Show SENATE. The House joint resolution, relating to the Panoche grant, being the Mc-Garrahan Mc-Garrahan claim, was received from the House and temporarily disposed of, on motion of Wilson, by being laid on the table. Messrs. Wilson and Trumbull Trum-bull remarked that there was not time to dispose of the bill at the present session. The Texas Pacific railroad (Southern P. R. R. ) bill was also received from j the House, when motions were madei by Sherman to concur and by Howard to non-concur; but action was postponed post-poned until the bill is printed. Sherman, from i the committee on finance, reported back the House bill declaring that section 25, of the act to provide a national currency, shall apply to every bank president, cashier and agent relative to the certification of checks. Passed. On motion of Cameron the Senate resumed consideration of the Pennsylvania Pennsyl-vania centennial celebration bill, which was discussed without action .until after af-ter the expiration of the morning hour, notwithstanding the repeated effoits of the Pennaylvauia senators, Soott and Cameron, to secure a vote upon it. The Senate bill to amend the branty ' laws was passed. It provides ihat all soldiers who were mustered into the service of the United States, for three years, between May 4th and July 221, 1;61, and who were honorably discharged dis-charged before serving two years, by reason of disability contracted in ser vice, are entitled to receive ope hundred hun-dred dollars bounty. Williams reported, with amendments the House bill relating to the entry of public lands in the Territories of the U. S., giving settlers in any Territory the richt to enter 160 acres of non-mineral non-mineral land, regardle-s of their hav-i.ig hav-i.ig had the benefit of the pie cmption laws cl.-cwbere.
