The Well I and Canal I Montreal April 15There was a rush at the custom house and internal revenue reve-nue office today to clear goods on information infor-mation from Ottawa as to the new tariff tar-iff duties which are to be announced next Thursday It was stated that the duties on woolen fabrics which are at resent 5 cents per pound and 25 pet I cent ad valor m will be materially changed The specific scale will be abolished and the id valorem duty reduced re-duced A reduction of 5 per cent will be made I all around on cottons On tobaccos of all kinds liquors and drugs the tariff I will be increased The new tariff takes effect at once when read in the house of commons <
