NOT ALL DEAD 0 Good Reason to Believe There i 3 Pool Born Every Minute New York April 15 William S Thompson who was indicted in Chicago Chi-cago last October for carrying on swindling operations through the mails has been arrested here and is held in 2500 bail for hearing Thompson after having been arrested ar-rested in Chicago furnished 1000 bail and then fled from the city The concern con-cern of which Thompson was the head sent out circulars offering a prize to the person making the greatest num ber of words out of the letters in the title Empress Bicycle Later on circular letters were mailed to those persons who had failed to win the prize offering them a 100 bicycle for 45 and upon this offer many persons per-sons were swindled Postoffice Inspector Inspec-tor Mayor says that Thompson and his associates obtained about 50000 by means of the swindle
