Manager Wilson advises us that he has increased the force to 15 men and does not propose to lose any time inputting in-putting the Undine In the list of shippers ship-pers One of the leasers of the Butcher Boy advises us that they are following follow-ing a small streak of high grade ore on the 160foot level and have every reason to believe that it will widen out Into something handsome This Is the first prospecting done in this old property below the 75foot level where considerable high grade ore was taken out in past years The Butcher Boy was one of the famous properties of Diamond and if the same rule holds good as demonstrated in other properties proper-ties in that vicinity i will be better as depth is gained The grading for the new hoist at the Mammoth mine Is reported to be nearly Leadville will resume work on the large group of claims located by him on Fairfield fat below the Union Pacific railroad Work was resumed this week on the Electric group where the shaft is already al-ready down 185 feet Good assays have been obtained from this property in the past and i gives promise of developing de-veloping well The Cannon company closed down their work on the Index shaft Saturday Satur-day Until after election when work will be prosecuted as usual The drifts are in ore which is improving in values and there is no doubt that the mine will become one of the big arranging to resume the development of that property immediately after election electon Dr Woodruff of the Northern Light mine arrived in camp yesterday en route to that property where the work of Boston Miner Butte Mont I is said that the prospects for the reorganization of the Butte and Boston company are again looking brighter and that the eastern people peo-ple many of whom are Interested in the Boston and Montana will push forward the work and if a decree can bo secured to sell the outside property as well a that covered by the mortgage of the Massachusetts Loan and Trust company there will be no tiouble about tho money needed to bid In the property The fact that the Anaconda company was interested inter-ested In attempting to get the property sold In parcels Instead of In bulk Is explained ex-plained ac one of the mining I men interested inter-ested in the case The Anaconda company com-pany would lIke to get hold of some of the more valuable mines of the Butte anti Boston for a small amount of money js I could use them in some cases to a good advantage Hence the company made ar effort to bock I the decree to sell the prop elfoI J arty In bulk Of course if sold I in parcels no large bidder would care to attempt to acquire all the property and after the Anaconda company picked up a few of the choice claims the rest would so for a sons and the creditors of the companv would be out In the cold I am satisfied now that the reorganization wIl go through l right and that after thfeslx ninths fir rnlemjitlcoi has expired the company will be pn its feet and Its r stoc > the with past ho worth more than at any time In Ilk Patriot Aolen Drifting work from the 300foot level was begun In the Hawkeye this morning morn-ing The force has been increased to two shifts
