I TiE ailCROSCOPICAL SOCIETY The Microscopical Society of Utah met at the University of Utah lat evening it being its third beinf thrd regular sessIon ses-sIon A interesting projrraramQ was carried out consisting of a lecture by Dr Penrose oil Bacteriology of DSphAeria A Beginning with the Microscope by Miss A E Brother hood and The Microscope in the Public Schools by William Bradford A general discussion o each topic in turn was entered into by the society After adjournment th members anc visitors spent some time in observing different slides exhibited by members of the society Among the slides ex hlbited xyer three of diphtheria mounts by Dr Penrose histological and pathological preparations from j human body by Dr Wilccx and voiltie Band microphotograph etc by Dr J E Talmage Besides these ten shown microscopes of different kinds were
