HIS HEAD CRUSHED I Samuel Johnsons Narrow Escape From Instant Death A Big Stone Crushes In His Skull From the Effects of Which He Will Probably De Samuel Johnson a young man who resides re-sides in the Twentieth ward met with a serious accident in a quarry near this city yesterday While engaged at his work a big stone fell upon him crushing in his skull and rendering him unconscious It was thought for a time that the blow had killed him Later however he was removed re-moved to his home in this city where medical aid was summoned Several pieces of his skull were removed and late last evening he was resting comfortably but the surgeon would give but little hope of his recovery A Delicate Operation Dr Benedict yesterday performed an ovaryotomy operation upon an aged lady from Gunnison Sinpeto county who is at the Deseret hospital Drs Pratt McAchran and others were present It was a most successful piece of work and at last accounts ac-counts the patient was doing remarkably well
