considerably Mr Irvine was I yesterday looking for the bloods who were running run-ning the race LAST Friday week In tho afternoon the son of W W Evans while trying to drive some horses was thrown from the horse he rode violently vio-lently to the ground and it Is thought the horse fell on him When found the boy was unconscious uncon-scious and remained in that condition appar tintly suffering great pain until relieved by death Sunday evening at 0 oclock The boy was 17 years old and exceptionally bright and well behavcd and his sudden death is a terrible blow to his parents and friends We can only offerympathy to the stricken family In their great sorrow and hope that they may be given strength to bear up under their great affliction Tho funeral occurred Vednesday afternoon and was Irvine an insurance man had skipped out leaving several creditors in tho lurch The information In-formation was gained at police headquarters whore It had been regularly reported by parties Interested and the item was withheld for two days on the chance that the parties might teal te-al right On Saturday the report was corroborated corrob-orated by one of Mrs Gleasons creditors and as there appeared to bo no reason to doubt Its correctness it was published It now appears that so far as Mr Irvine was concerned the Item did him an injustice as ho was In no way connected with the matter as circumstances Indicated Mr Irvine was away on business but he has returned and further Investigation shows he was in nq way connected with the matter ne |
