Show GRAND LARCENY I John I Rice Charged With Stealing I Iron Pulleys John H Rice was arrested yesterday morning on a warrant sworn to by Andrew Benzon charging Rice with stealing from the building known as the Nichols Metallurgical works four cast iron pulleys of the value of 50 the property of J R Nichols Rice was arraigned before Commis sionen Greenman to answer to the charge of grand larceny he pleaded not guilty the preliminary hearing was set for tomorrow at 2 p m His bond was fixed at 300 failing which Rice went to jail i About a year ago Rice was one of a gang of four who were charged with grand larceny the others were convicted con-victed and sent to the penitentiary whilst Rice was acquitted I was I from the Nichols Metallurgical works that the larceny was committed I |
