Show WILL TAKE N OGDEN Salt Lake and the Junction City to Combine on a Musical Union The Salt Lako Musicians Musical Protective Pro-tective union held another meeting yesterday yester-day afternoon The chief business was the receiving of a report from the committee to whom had been delegated the task of approaching the musicians of the theatre orchestra with the idea of learning their views on the subject Tho committee thought they should be armed with a paper drawn up by and with the advice and consent con-sent of tho union authorizing them to act Tile committee were given authority to act in the matter and ordered to report at the next meeting of the union The committee to whom had been ro ferred the matter ot securing a suitable hall reported that the Calder hall could bo hud for tho present Committees were appointed to wait upon several musicians who bad t > p far failed to Ily themselves with the union A communication from musicians of Ogden Og-den fortyeight in number was read The Ogden musicians it said were in favor of 1 r bsia a joint union There was some little discussion dis-cussion at the close of which it was decided de-cided to allow all Ogden musicians who were so Inclined to become members of the Salt Lake union The offices of second vicepresident and assistant secretary were created and will be filled by Ogden menThe men-The Ogden members wera empowered to appoint a committee of three on examination examina-tion All the Ogden reports will be made to the Salt Lake society Eminent composers or instrumentalists or any nonprofessional person who through any act or deed has distinguished himself for the benefit of the Salt Lake Musicians Mutual Protective union is eligible gible to honorary membership but must be recommended by the board of directors to the assoctation at large A unanimous vote of tho members present shall be necessary neces-sary to elect A price list was ordered prepared to be submitted at the next meeting which will be held next Sunday at 10 oclock |
