Show Bountiful Raises Recreation Fees BOUNTIFUL - Beginning June 1, fees will be increased for city recreation facilities. THE CITY council approved the City Recreation Committee's recommendation recommenda-tion to increase the 36-punch pass from $32 to $36 - or $1 per punch. However, the single admission admis-sion cost will remain at $1.25 per person. HANDBALL fees will be increased from $1.25 to $1.50 for one-hour use of the court. City Manager Grant Petersen, Peter-sen, in making the proposal to (he council, explained that although recreation fees were raised by 20 percent last year, the overall income was increased only about five percent because of the family pass rates being such a bar gain. "THE recreation committee commit-tee felt it was most equitable to increase the pass rate and leave the single admission price the same, at least for the time being," the city manager explained. He said an adjustment will also be made in the amount the city collects for professionals teaching classes at the centers. Beginning June 1, the city will keep ten, instead of five percent, of the lesson fee. ALSO, THE council gave approval for a study of non-Bountiful non-Bountiful residents who use city recreation facilities the possibility of charging a higher fee for non-residents, grb |
