Show Commissioners Accept Bid For Laying Of Pipe FARMINGTON - Davis County Commissioners took action, on a storm drain problem in West Bountiful when they awarded a bid for the laying of 1000 feet of pipe that was plugged and flooded the area near the post office. WHITAKER Construction I ompany was the low bidder ui 35.60 a linear foot, and was nwarded the contract for asi.600. The only other bidder was Child's Brothers Construction Con-struction Company which bid $7.05 a linear foot. Commissioner Glen Flint said the money for the construction, con-struction, in addition to the cost of the pipe, will be paid tiom the two mill storm drain levy. The cost of pipe will be i29.60 a foot or about $30,000, bringing the cost of the project to about $15,000. West Bountiful has agreed to pay lor the cost of the overflow box, he said. IN OTHER business the commission said they favored u proposal to place those receiving assistance payment on jobs in the public sector.
