MIKE NIELSEN Wed In Temple On May 10, Carolyn Brooks, daughter of Loren and Julianna Brooks, 111 West 3500 South, became the bride of David "Mike" Nielsen, son of Ramona Nielsen, 3726 South 800 West. The ceremony was performed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple by Wayne Nelson of Bountiful. PRENUPTIAL parties were given for the bride by her aunt, Vivian Warner and her sisters-in-law. The wedding breakfast was held at the Red Flame Restaurant Res-taurant in Bountiful, with vocal entertainment by Mike's brother Steve. Following Follow-ing the ceremony, a reception was held at Barnes Reception Center in Colonial Square. THE BRIDE was attired in a long sleeveless dress with a long sleeved jacket and train. She carried a nosegay of yellow roses, poms and star flowers. The mothers were dressed in solid blue satin gowns. Matron of honor, Paula Childs, and bridesmaids, the sisters of the bride, Laura, Karen, Barbara and Donna Brooks, were dressed in solid yellow and blue satin gowns. Their corsages were of yellow and white poms. SERVING AS best man was Mike Tate. The groom's brothers Doug and Mark were in the line with Ned Siegfried and Scott Jensen acting as ushers. After a week's honeymoon to Las Vegas, the couple is making their home in Cen-terville. Cen-terville. CAROLYN IS employed at Western Mortgage and Mike is a seminary teacher at Woods Cross High School. He also has a part-time occupation occupa-tion singing with his brothers at the Red Flame Restaurant in Midvale. ml |
