A tea was held Saturday to present the contestants con-testants and different aspects for this year's pageant to be held Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. in the Bountiful High School au ditorium. The Tea. under the' direction of Susan Christensen was held at the meeting place of this year's sponsors, the Bountiful Jaycees and Bountiful Bounti-ful Jaycee Auxiliary. ACCORDING to Rodney Neiman, Jaycees Jr. Miss chairman, the pageant, a new Contestants in the Bountiful Jaycees Junior Miss event include, front 1 to r, Ellen Kay Clark, Shelly Milne, Donna Marie Abboud, Susan Andrus, Monique Gaudin, Monique de LaMare. Back, Ellen Denise Jensen, Michelle Marchant, Laura Tietjen, Susan Barfuss, Melanie Kindall, and Barbara Best. Not in picture, Denise Johnson, Jill Rasmussen, and Rhona Lee Reid. project for the Jaycees, is new to Bountiful; in the past contestants con-testants from the area had to eiter pageants in other cities. Mr. Neman further went on to explain that one special feature fea-ture of the pageant will be a jazz dance routine performed by all the girls, which combines com-bines dance with physical fit- ness. The contestants are practicing prac-ticing hard for this year's dance routine, directed by Diane Di-ane Tiehl and Jan Kerr. BOUNTIFUL'S Jr. Miss winners, who will be entered in the competition for Utah Jr. Miss, will be chosen based upon scholastic achievement, judge's conference, poise and appearance, youth fitness and talent presentation. In addition to the national sponsors. Clairol, Coca Cola, Kodak, Kraft and Simplicity, the Bountiful Jaycees are being assisted by local sponsors, spon-sors, Utah Bank and Trust, South Davis Credit Union. |
