Show Winter: Time For Fun Recreation programs in Bountiful don't decrease in the winter months. Many new and exciting programs are being offered this winter so that people can maintain or increase in-crease their activity levels. Some of the year round programs prog-rams include learn-to-skate and learn-to-swim classes. ALSO MEN'S and ladies' exercise and swim classes are offered continuously at the indoor in-door and bubble pools. Karate classes are held every Monday and Friday nights in the basement base-ment of the Recreation Center and gymnastics classes are taught on Wednesday nights. New classes: There are many new classes being offered at the center. A ski conditioning class began Nov. 6 on Thursday nights. This class is going to evolve into a lifetime sports class which we hope to offer throughout the year, focusing on the particular particu-lar sports of the season, ie, skiing, jogging, racquetball, skating, swimming, crosscountry cross-country skiing, bicycle riding, mountain climbing and archery. ANOTHER NEW class is ladies' beginning racquetball. This is offered at 2 p.m., Tuesdays Tues-days but other times can be arranged with a minimum of four people per class. Other programs: Three Dan-ceErgetics Dan-ceErgetics classes are being offered in Bountiful. These aerobic dance classes are being offered on Monday-Wednesday-Friday mornings at 9 a.m. at Gymnastics World, Monday-Wednesday nights at 6 p.m. at Meadowbrook Elementary and Tuesday-Thursday Tuesday-Thursday nights at 6: 15 p.m. at Valley View Elementary. YBA SIGN-UPS for boys and girls ages 8-J4 are taking place rigRt now at the recreational recrea-tional center and will continue until Nov. 22. The cost is $17. Men's winter basketball is being played every Monday night at Viewmont High, Bountiful High, Woods Cross High and Bountiful Jr. High schools. These games began Nov. 3 and will continue through March. Over 240 men are participating in this basketball basket-ball league. PEOPLE CAN still arrange through the center to be hyd-rostatically hyd-rostatically weighed at the Bountiful Convalescent Center.
