Show Genealogical Assn. Slates State Meet George B. Everton, Sr., will deliver the luncheon address to the annual state convention and seminar of the Utah Genealogical Association on Saturday, Nov. 6 at the Tri Arc Travelodge. ACCORDING to Eldon H. Walker, president of UGA, the luncheon meeting will highlight an all-day program built around a bicentennial theme. During the day there will be a business meeting at 9 a.m:, plus three workshop periods of one and one-half hours each. During each workshop period, five separate sessions will be taught simultaneously. MR. EVERTON is the former editor and publisher of "The Genealogical Helper," a world renowned magazine for genealogists, Walker said. Workshop subjects include .discussions of records of the American Revolution (American and British), records of emigration from various European countries to North American, and how to write personal and family histories, his-tories, Walker said. The program chairman is Robert C Gunderson. THE COST of the day-long program is $12 for UGA members and $15 for non-members. non-members. The registration fee includes the cost of the luncheon, Walker said. Walker indicated that the program will begin at 9 a.m. with the association's annual business meeting. There will be a one-hour registration - .period prior to the meejing. |
