Show By BERTHA U MUIR 295-3742 Mr. and Mrs. Norman Homer, long time residents of Bountiful, have moved to Salt Lake City where they and their children are living in a home on Yale Avenue. They formerly lived at West Fourth North. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald B. Higgs and family are making their home in Bountiful. Mr. Higgs is the author of over 200 short stories and special feature fea-ture articles. He is also an aviator. The U of U Alumni Association As-sociation will hold the annual homecoming event for 1976 at the University on Thursday, Nov. 4 at 7: 15 p.m. The title of the program is "Look What We Have Done To The U". Come join your friends for a well planned program presented by accomplished individuals in many fields. The annual Bazaar sponsored spon-sored by the Mental Retardation Retarda-tion Association of Utah Inc. will be held Saturday, Nov. 6 at the Sunnyside Armory Building, 1543 East 800 South, Salt Lake City, from 2 to 9 p.m. There will be ali types of entertainment for everyone and especially for the kids. Many valuable articles will be raffled off. Dr. Merlin Mecham of Bountiful is chairman of ticket sales. He will be assisted by David Day of Salt Lake City. Joseph Hartvegsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Hartvegsen, Hartveg-sen, will leave Oct. 30 for the Hawaiian LDS Mission. Many friends and relatives caned at his family home to bid him farewell. Special guests were present from many parts of Utah and Idaho. Joseph has his parents and three sisters and two brothers who will be waiting for him at home and watching his progress in the beautiful Hawaiian Islands. Mrs. Mildred Armstrong is happy to hear of the birth of a great-grandson born to Mr. and Mrs. Ross Ballard of Brigham City on Oct. 11, 1976. Mr. and Mrs. Bryon Armstrong Arms-trong of Brigham City are the grandparents. Other great-grandparents great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ballard of Tremonton and Mrs. Rildah Hepworth Andrews of Logan. Ross Ballard, the father of the new baby, is a student at Utah State College and will graduate in the spring of 1977. |
