SMITH - Go!daGearyPageSmith,81, 39 South 200 West, Farming-ton, Farming-ton, died Tuesday, Oct. 19 in a Bountiful hospital. : SHE WAS BORN May 12, 1895 on Page's Ranch, Washington, Utah, to Daniel Ritchey and Sophia Ann Geary Page. Golda married Heber Edwin Smith Dec. 23, 1926 in the St. George LDS Temple. He preceded her in death. She was a member of the Far-mington Far-mington Third Ward. She is survived by one daughter and one son, Shirley Smith Amalong of Turkey Creek, Cochise, Arizona and Daniel F. Smith of Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii; and four grandchildren. SHE WAS A resident of North Farmington for about 30 years. Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 23 at the Farmington Far-mington Third Ward Chapel with Bishop Aaron F. Richards officiating. PRELUDE and postlude music of the 18O0's and early 1900's, which she dearly loved to play herself, were beautifully beau-tifully rendered by Fern Hess at the request of the family. Family prayer and prayer in the chapel by nephews; neph-ews; cello solo by Roselyne Benard; speaker, Bishop De Vaughn Jones; and an organ or-gan solo, "In The Garden" by Mrs. Hess. FAMILY EULOGY by nephew Daniel T. Page; vocal solo, "Going Home" by Irvin Pearson and closing prayer by a nephew. Pallbearers were all nephews. The Third Ward Relief Society took care of the flowers. INTERMENT was in Cedar City, next to her husband, a son, Heber Garth and a daughter, Nelly Udena Smith. There was a brief viewing and graveside service for relatives and friends of southern Utah and Nevada. All was under the direction of Lindquists Kaysville Mortuary. |
