Show Miss Elsie Nielsen and John E. Bracken Marry Here In Temple GUNLOCK, Utah. A group of friends gathered at the St. George Temple Saturday, Feb. 21st, to witness the marriage of Miss Elsie Nielsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Nielsen, of this place, to John E. Bracken, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marcellus Bracken, of Gunlock. The ceremony was performed per-formed by Pres. Harold S. Snow. For the wedding the bride wore her wedding dress of heavy, white slipper satin with full-length sleeves and a sweeping circular train. Her finger-length veil was of sheer white airline trimmed in matching lace and her corsage of white carnations and pink gladiolus. gladi-olus. The same evening the young couple were guests of honor at a dance at the ward hall. Music was furnished by the Hurricane orchestra, under the direction of Glen M. Webb, with Marion Bowler singing. Mr. and Mrs. Bracken received many beautiful and useful gifts. On Sunday, they were honored by their parents at a dinner at the bride's home. The beautiful four-tiered wedding cake was made by the groom's grandmother, Mrs. John H. Bowler of Veyo and decorated by his aunt, May Lytle of St. George. Eight of the bride's friends united in entertaining in her honor at a shower in St. George a few days before the wedding. The young couple plan to leave soon for Las Vegas, where Mr. Bracken has employment. |
