Marriage Vows Taken In Home Ceremony , . . . Among the holiday social events was the marriage of Dale Bringhurst, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Bringhurst of this city, and Miss .Shirley Perkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Perkins of Spanish Fork. The ceremony took place Monday Mon-day evening, December 30, at the home of the bride's parents, with Bishop Byron Geslison officiating. officiat-ing. Witnessing the marriage were close relatives and friends ,of the young couple. Later in the evening, the new-lyweds new-lyweds were entertained at a wedding wed-ding reception in the First ward hall, with approximately 350 guests including many from Springville, in attendance. The hall was beautifully decorated decor-ated for the wedding with a profusion pro-fusion of flowers emphasized by burning candles, ferns and palms. The bridge, chose for her wedding wed-ding attire, a lovely white crepe gown with finger-tip veil and she carried a bridal bouquet of pink rosebuds centered with an orchid from which fell a shower of silver ribbon streamers. She was attended attend-ed by her sister as maid of honor, together with a number of friends from Spanish Fork, all in pastel colored formals. Bud Averett of Springville was best man. Others in the receiving line included parents par-ents of the bride and bridegroom. The entertainment for the evening eve-ning included a program, dancing and refreshments. Bishop Geslison Gesli-son was master of ceremonies. The refreshments were served from a pretty lace-covered table centered with a lovely three-tiered wedding cake and flanked on either side with tall burning itapers. The bride is a senior at the Spanish Fork high school and Mr. Bringhurst, who served a year and a half in the army, is employed with the railroad. They plan to make their home in Springville.
