Show W. G. Sorrells services held Monday in Provo Funeral services were held Monday in the Berg Mortuary at Provo for William G. Sorrells, Sor-rells, 56, of Provo who died June 26, 1969 in the Utah Valley Val-ley Hospital of a heart attack. He was the father of William Oren Sorrells, Springville. He was born July 18, 1912, in Springville, a son of John Sherman and Estella Arminto Swasey Sorrells. He married Sarah Ann Losee on Jan. 7, 1933 in Provo. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Sorrells received his education in Mona and Denver, Colo, schools. He later attended Minnesota Min-nesota schools in Minneapolis, and graduated from the Juab i High School in Nephi in 1932. Following his marriage he and his wife made their first home in Santaquin where he j worked in the mines. He spent I one year in Las Vegas, Nev., "1 working on construction of the y 'Boulder Dam. VV'In 1937 they moved to Provo, s'where he worked for Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe Com-g Com-g pany. He had been employed with this company for the past 33 years, working as a foundry- foreman in almost every de-' de-' partment. He was a member of the jty AFL-CIO and served as the second president in the local, i' He was also a member of the Skyline Flying Club of Spanish Fork. s Active in the LDS Church, he was serving as a high priest and had been in the presidency of the elders quorum. His hobbies were flying, bowling and hunting. Surviving are his widow of Prove; two sons and three Z daughters, William Oren Sor-- Sor-- rells, Springville; Mrs. Fred p (Maurine) Morgan, Ogden and ,v" Gary Losee, Mrs. Stephen (El-11!, (El-11!, len Marlene) Price and Sara Jean Sorrells, all of Provo, and '; 13 grandchildren. |
