Show iyton Convention To Draw District Cline Legion Units The election of a new district commander is to be featured at the annual spring convention for District Nine of the American Amer-ican Legion, which is composed of all posts located in Summit, Wasatch, Duchesne and Uintah counties. The meetnng is scheduled to get underway Sunday. April 27, at 1 p. m. in the Myton American Ameri-can Legion hall William Sutteer, of Fort Duchesne, Du-chesne, has held the office of District Commander during the past year. Also holding a prominent spot on the convention agenda will be the election of delegates to represent the District at the National Convention in New York City, August 24-28. Questions Ques-tions on junior baseball will also be discussed. Department Commander Herman Her-man J. Jansen, of Salt Lake City, will be the main speaker at the meet, with Lloyd Wignall, deDartment adjutant, and A. S. Horsley, department service officer, of-ficer, both of Salt Lake City, also addressing the group. Blaine Brokaw, commander of Wm. R. Sands Post 5, in Myton, has assured everyone of a fine convention and a grand time. It is urged that post commanders command-ers see that their posts are well represented. |
