Show Funeral Services Held Today For Former Merchant Funeral services were held this morning at 11 a.m. in the Roos-velt Roos-velt LDS ward chapel for Harmon (Bud) Mullins, 86, a former resident resi-dent of Roosevelt and Lapoint, who died Friday in a Long Beach hospital, of injuries sustained in an auto accident. Bishop John L. Swenson of the Roosevelt ward conducted. Mr. Mullins was born April 5, 1869, in Kentucky. He' married Cora Adeline Sprouse at Mannassu, Colorado, Sept. 23, 1890. The marriage mar-riage was later soleminized in the Sait Lake LDS Temple! She died in March 1942 and he' moved from Roosevelt to California that same year. Before moving to California Mr. Mullins operated a general store in Lapoint and Roosevelt, and was active in civic and religious affairs. He held the office of high priest in the church. He is survived by one son, Les, Salt Lake City, three daughters, Mrs. Carlyle (Nettie) Reynolds, Roosevelt; Mrs. Harvey (Auleen) Hullinger, Vernal, and Mrs. J. O. (LaVaur) Johnston, Long Beach. 21 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren also survive. Speakers at the services were Rex O. Curry and Laren Ross, with the music under the direction of Bennie Schmiett. Burial was in the Roosevelt cemetary under the direction of the' Olpin Mortuary. |
