Show Funeral Held For Branch Babcock Funeral services were conducted con-ducted in Salt Lake City, Saturday, Satur-day, ApriL 5, for Branch Bab-cock, Bab-cock, a veteran of World War 1, who died of natural causes. Military graveside rites were held in the Veterans' plot of the Salt Lake City cemetery. Mr. Babcock, a resident of the city for over 15 years, had been working as a photo salesman. He was born, March 29. 1896, in Kanesville, Utah, a son of Joseph and Sarah Elvina Norton Babcock. The family settled in Mt. Emmons soon after the opening op-ening of the reservation. He married Bertha Bucher, of Virginia, after serving as a missionary for the L D S Church in that area. They were later divorced. Surviving are his former wife; one daughter, Mrs. J. V. Belcher, Chester, Virginia; two brothers, Leroy Babcock, Mt. Emmons, John A. Babcock, Salt Lake; and one sister, Mrs. Frank Burns, Ogden. |
