Show layne II. Shields -Eleprted Head h SCorean Field An official communication released re-leased by the Department of Defense recently has definitely established that Pvt. Wayne N. Shields, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wanless S. Shields, of Bridge-land Bridge-land had been killed in action. He was reported missing in action in August 1950. Private Shields, 21. is Uintah Basin's first war casualty. A member of the 29th Infantry Regiment, he had been in the Army only a year. He was a graduate of Roosevelt Roose-velt High School and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Besides his parents, four brothers and a sister survive. They are Mrs. Norma Hansen, Mt. Emmons; W. Gordon Shields. Salt Lake City; Gary and Jerry Shields, Bridgeland. |
